Sling Research Technical Wax

Designed specifically for the extreme demands of slinging. Unlike brittle, paraffin-based waxes, our multiple wax and oil blend, including two types of beeswax, remains flexible upon application, making it a great choice for your sling.

  • Protect : Extends the life of high cord wear areas.

  • Stiffen: Adds weight and stiffness to your cords for enhanced handling.

  • Grip: Adds extra traction to your finger loop and release tab so your hold never slips.

We do not recommend using on the sling fall of the SR3, and strongly recommend not waxing the cracker. Waxing these areas will reduce cracking effectiveness. If you are using the Pan Sling (not the SR sling) waxing the last several inches of the release cord near the release tab will extend sling life.

PAN's Sling Wax

Use Pan's Sling Wax on your cordage, leather pouch, and finger loop.

Pan's Sling Wax is an excellent wax for use on other waxable fabrics as well. Follow manufacturer recommendations.

Note: Once you add wax to the sling, it will permanently darken the sling, even if you remove the wax from the surface of the cord. It is not possible to completely remove wax from the inner fibers of the cord.
