This is a well made sling. It is constructed with materials that help it endure use for a long period of time. So glad I bought one! What a performer!
The wax is easy to apply. Using blow dryer, it will take you about six wax and heat cycles to fully saturate the cordage (For a brand new sling). You'll know your done when the wax starts to glisten and keeps on glistening, instead of soaking into the cord. Took about 20 minutes for the crackin' side and about 30 minutes for the finger side.
Very nice craftsmanship and cant wait to do more practicing with it and get skilled at hitting the targets!
Made slings when I was a kid, never figured out how to do it well, buying one of these and figuring it out has been nostalgic. And who doesn't love old time projectile tossing?
Works well. with the instructions given within minutes I was hitting large targets at a decent distance. Easy to learn and felt natural.
The title of my review pretty much says it all. It's a cool toy, I'm having fun, and have practiced to the point where this beginner video, filmed on my first day of slinging, is embarrassing to watch.
Years ago I built a sling of natural materials and loved it. It was somewhat crude but functional. Fast forward to Pan Slings. Wow! The quality is top notch. My love of slinging has returned and I can't wait to teach my sons. I hope Pan Slings is successful for years to come.
I purchased a couple slings a little while ago. At first, I actually preferred some of the slings that I'd been making, so I just kept practicing with them. I recently grabbed my Pan sling and it was amazing. It is my go-to sling now and I enjoy it so much that I ordered another.

I love the Pan Sling. I was waiting by the mail box for it to arrive! I had been doing my stick drills in the days leading up to it. Once it arrived, I immediately began slinging with a tennis ball. Within an hour I had a fluid motion and slinging decently. Within a few days I was able to hit within a foot of my target.
The hurting aspect comes from forgetting it’s a throwing motion and I threw the equivalent of a complete baseball game. It’s lots of fun, and I can’t wait to sling some actual stones. But the sling is incredible. Quality is great, and I love the color of the Deep. Can’t wait to snag another sling soon, and one for my 4 year old as well. Who has been able to sling with the 27 inch just fine!
