After seeing a couple videos pop up on YouTube on paracord channels, I decided to pick up a sling made by someone that knows what they’re doing before attempting to start making my own. I watched a handful of videos by various “pros” and narrowed it down to Pan and one other company. Pan Slings are made with paracord, which I’ve been using on projects for years, so that was my deciding factor. I watched another handful of videos when I received it, which was less than a week afree ordering it, and set out in my backyard to give it a go. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out the overhand throw recommended by Pan Slings. His videos made taking small steps to figure out the mechanics very easy to understand. After about a half hour of practice I attached the cracker, and two hours later I still had a silly grin on my face. Slings have intrigued me since I was a kid, and now at 50 I’m finally getting around to messing with them. I really wish I’d started sooner, because I can see where this will become a very fun pastime for me. I’m glad I started with a Pan sling, as it’s not only perfectly suited for me as a beginner, but something I can continue to enjoy as my skills increase. Every night I spend an hour slinging tennis balls around, and each crack keeps the silly childlike grin on my face. I can’t wait to move up to slinging rocks.
Totally awesome. Well engineered sling! Quality is outstanding. I did a lot of research before I purchased. As this is my first sling. My only suggestion would be for international clients that purchased the pan sling is to have it waxed as the wax cannot be purchased for clients in Canada. I did purchase pure bees wax from Amazon made in Canada so it’s not a big deal, but that was the one suggestion that I would have. Some people complain that it’s expensive, but I would say you spend more if you go out to a dinner and a movie with your spouse. The sling lasts for a long, long time, compared to one evening of fun.

The SR3 reel is an amazing device to store your sling. I purchased a couple of extra reels for other slings that I own. They work with pretty much any paracord sling.
Another reason why I bought these reels was to give some advice to the person who gave these one star: Learn how to read bro. Did you really think a company that makes high end slings for $70+ dollars was magically selling a reel AND sling for $10 on the accessories page?? Some people's kids, man....🤦♂️
Definitely worth every penny. Purchased the SR3 Deep 27” after watching some of their online vids. I instantly realized I was doing everything wrong with my own DIY sling, and was super impressed with the demonstrated techniques. I was not disappointed on its arrival. Well made, super durable, and ridiculously addictive. The sling holds its form through the throw even with nothing in the pouch allowing plentiful practice sessions. The cracker is a must if you buy. The feedback makes learning and shot confidence a breeze. Literally 3 sessions and the overhand was there. Sidearm throws came shortly after. They aren’t lying when they say “if you can throw, you can sling.” My 11 y/o daughter was so excited to try slinging I had to order her one as well! She got the SR3 22” Elding. …And now I want the Indus! Absolutely gorgeous sling.
