I’ve been messing about with slings for 30 years - I’m now in my 50’s.
In those 30 years of slinging, this is my first purchase, all others being made by myself from old shoes, seatbelts, bootlaces etc.
The attention to detail from the moment you open the box is immediately apparent. Pan obviously take pride in all aspects of their product, from the quality of the shipping right down to every last detail.

I’ve been making and using shorter slings than the one I ordered from Pan so there was a short learning curve, mainly in the release point, but after a short period of acclimatisation it just clicked.
Slinging is easy but slinging accurately is difficult - don’t be discouraged by your perceived failures. One day I hope to be great with a sling: I reckon I have about 15 years left to get to Ryan’s level.
Would I order again? Yes.
Is there anything I would have liked? I would have preferred some sling wax or maybe a cracker instead of the Pan carrying options. Maybe something for the owner to offer different options on the included products.

The Pansling was my first real step into slinging, and it instantly felt right. The build is solid, the materials feel trustworthy, and the overall balance makes the motion click faster than expected. It’s clearly made by someone who knows what they’re doing.
The wait, though… that was something else. The tracking looked like it was taking the scenic tour across the country before finally heading out. But when it reached me, the quality made up for the slow journey.
Using it has been a blast. Even just practising form indoors without any projectiles, the sling sits naturally in the hand and moves exactly how you want it to. The cord, the pouch, the weight — everything works together smoothly. It doesn’t feel like a cheap or generic sling at all.
I only managed to grab one set because the rest sold out almost instantly, and now I understand why. Simple, tough, and incredibly satisfying to swing. Definitely worth the wait, and a great starting point for anyone learning the craft.
The sling arrived in great shape and very timely. It’s resilient, highly portable and a lot of fun. I have never been able to understand how a sling works. After watching the videos, it’s easy to pick up, uses my body, and is very relaxing after a hike. Try it! You won’t be sorry!
